23 Classic “40’s Diva” Looks …

For a decade marked by war and rationing of fabrics, the 1940’s were still quite glamorous fashion wise. The war saw cute simple skirts, mix and match of fabrics and prints, shorts and sportswear. After the war feminine dresses, full skirts, huge hats, gloves, sparkling shoes and pearls became all the rage.

People were happy, swing music was in and femininity was the theme of the hour. So if you are a girly girl, you are bound to love our picks from fashion inspired by the 40’s . Don one of these fabulous choices, take out your curling iron, put on your red lipstick and be a 40’s diva!

Most of these outfits are really for Divas.
I can’t imagine myself wearing some of them to some of the places I usally Go.
To overdressed, but fashionably and outrageous in a good way. Nic clothes to watch at a fashion show. :)

      Xannnyyy,
I know what you mean. Maybe if we lived in Paris or Milan or some equally fashion-tastic place like that.

Hi Sheila! Wooow…..after looking at all these photos I know for sure that I will never be a Diva :). These outfits are so elegant, chic and stylish I could never see myself wearing them. Well I guess not everyone can be a Diva. :)
