Sure the changeover of the "new year" is an arbitrary distinction on a randomly chosen day, but as I sit here nursing a killer sore throat and eating sushi, I can't believe that 2006 is almost over. This year has been the most risky and fortunate of my life: I quit my horrible stop-gap job to travel, then came back and watched my interest in fashion turn into a job I love.
