My Advise would be, just to be yourself.

Abby, fake it. I know that it sounds like a strange advice but if we pretend or fake-believe that we are gorgeous, our mind will eventually believe it is so. Not to the point that we become delusional but just enough to make us feel positive. Another thing is to remember that no one is perfect. If you are always negative because you have insecurities, you have to remember that other people have their own insecurities, too. And lastly, accept compliments gracefully. Do not shrug them off or roll your eyes. Say thanks and smile. That is an attractive quality.
