2 Techniques to Create The Long and Wavy Hair Style…

#2. The Risky Technique:

Short on time? Here’s how Fashion Week tress masters create the look in a crunch: Wrap one-inch sections of hair around a medium flatiron, alternating the direction each spiral. “You’re just kind of haphazardly wrapping pieces and dropping them,” says Harry Josh, a hairstylist and spokesperson for John Frieda. “When you shake them out you’ll get a really nice, loose, ropy wave and it’ll hold all day.”

-”Elle” magazine

This technique gives you more control over your waves and you can easily create a very fine do within 10 minutes, but please don’t forget to use anti-heat products to protect your healthy shiny traces.

No matter what they say, anything hair tools with heat are bad for your hair.  And the more you use them, the more weakened it becomes.  It’s just the matter of time when the damage becomes obvious.

And the last, but not least, the pictures of what to look for when creating the Lond and Wavy Hair Style, all from Spring-Summer 09 runway shows of the Premier Designers, like  DSquared2, Nina Ricci, Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Anna Sui and others…

    Okay Phil,
I’m not sure what exactly you’re doing wrong. Its simple though. The smaller your braids, the curlier your hair will end up being. So if you want it to be less wavy, make the braids broader. As for their positions, I would suggest parting your hair they way you normally do and taking each section of your hair starting from one end working up to the back and finishing at the other end. Remember to keep the braids fairly uniform in size so that way it will be symmmetrical and perfect :) Hope that helped!
