Did you just say that you can’t get rid of acne? If acne is starting (or has been) a problem in your life, then there may be some reasons why you can’t get rid of it. Below, I am going to help you out and give you 12 possible reasons why you can’t get rid of acne, see if this is the case…

Maybe you just have not tried the right products for yourself. When I had a friend that had acne and she tried a lot to get rid of it. She was starting to believe nothing was worked. Then one day, she tried a product and it cleared up in less than a month. I recommend you trying products for your skin type as well as for the type of acne you have.

Some think that it will go away itself. Do you think that acne will just up and walk away from your face? There are often times when your acne can get even worse if you do not do something about it. This is why I tell you that it is important to take good care of your skin, especially when you are suffering from acne. I do not know about you, but I would not just let it go away, especially when there are products out there that can help you out.

Not changing your diet. There are many out there that stick with the same greasy foods and this does not help their skin. Also, your skin may have a reaction to certain foods. Everyone’s skin is different. Unhealthy foods that are high in oil content should be avoided when you are trying to fight off acne. I know that this could definitely be one of the reasons why you can’t get rid of acne.

Not sticking to a routine. Whenever some individuals start to see results showing on their face, they believe that there acne is gone, so they stop using the product. I do not think this is a good idea. You should stick with that routine, even if your acne is gone. Do not go back to the lousy habits.

Another reason why you can’t get rid of acne may be because you do not wash your face very often. It is a known fact that you have to wash your face and practice good hygiene to get rid of acne. I can’t see why you would not want to wash your face.

Washing your face too much sits in one of those reasons why you can’t get rid of acne. I have seen many people who wash their face five or more times a day. Washing your face once in the morning and once during the evening is perfectly fine.

Good tips, however junk food was never scientifically proven to cause or worsen acne. The food in oil and the oil your skin produces are not directly correlated. However it would probably be wise to stop eating it anyways.
Hi Jess,
Well I’ve read too many articles in too many places to doubt it. Infact I haven’t ever read that it does NOT make it worse. I’m curious to know if and where you got that information from.
Well I’m lucky that I don’t have acne :). One friend of mine has and he’s been doing treatments for more than 1 year now, fortunately they are working and his skin is clear now. He only needs to get rid of those scars :)
I tried most of those tips and didn’t succeed!
Guess that’s part of growing up, they have to come out!
Hi Xannyyy! How old r u? I didn’t had acne problems when I was a teenager but I had pimples like everyone else. Even now I have some breakouts from time to time….I really envy those girls with perfect skin. :)
Hey Tavia,
I’m 20 years old. I don’t have severe achne but those breakouts are really painful. Sometimes I do a week with only one pimple and at other times I’ve got 5 or 6 which are alot painful. And them what remains are scars that take such a long time to heel up! :S
Yeah me too! I envy that perfect skin. It’s been four years now that I have them. I’m trying with face products cause I don’t want to take pills at the moment. I think it’s a rather common process for girls at my age to have those breakouts. But some times they’re so impossible to deal with!
Tavia,
How old are you love?
It’s really funny – I have been using soaps/cleansers left and right. I don’t have crazy acne or anything but I do break out occasionally and it bothers me so much. You think that you get past high school and you’ll be a-okay but nope lol.
But guess what? Clearasil did the job. I have been washing my face with it once a day (at night — in the morning I just splash over and over with water because too much soap can be drying) and it’s helped loads. Who would have thought? i always avoided it thinking it did nothing but then they came out with one for sensitive skin and it’s just right. there might be even better products out there but for now I’ll stick with this!
Hey Theo,
I really do hate the people who kept belittling my acne problems and telling me “as soon as you’re out of your teens, it’ll all be gone for good”. I’m still battling the occasional outbreaks and still dealing with the scars!
but hey, you’re right about Clearasil helping. I like it too, along with the Neutrogena acne wash.
