Learn to Chill

Learn to Chill First of all, it is important that you learn how to chill out. If you are a new mother, then I would like to tell you a fact that I read in a magazine. Studies have shown that newborn babies bond better with their mother when they are calm. You should spend at least fifteen minutes each day relaxing.

You should not over sleep and you should certainly not under sleep. When you go to bed each night, set your alarm clock to eight hours of sleep.

Don’t Expect to Be Perfect

Don’t Expect to Be Perfect You should not expect to be the perfect worker, perfect parent or perfect anything. There is no such thing as someone being perfect. Don’t let little things in life get you down. So what if you left the house with your shirt inside out, no one is perfect. Have this attitude and sport it around.

Therapy

Therapy Sometimes, the best way to fight depression would be to go to therapy. There are many therapists in your area that are experienced with dealing with depression and they do not mind sitting down to speak with you. They have open eyes, open ears and most of all, an open heart or they would not be there in the first place.

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I noticed that I like different music at different times. I guess it must have something to do with the way you feel at the time you hear certain music. When I'm happy I like to listen to fast tempo music, but when I am feeling down, I like soft, slow, relaxing type of tunes.

I agree with Fatima- music can be so relaxing and at the same time energizing, it always makes us feel better. I haven't been exercizing but I remember I felt so good when I did, it is very important too!

Ok, I've heard of sleep therapy, but what is food therapy??? Do they teach you how to enjoy food, or how to stay away from it?

I have realized exercise and music helps me the most from falling into any sort of depression.

Exercising sends endorphins to your brain which helps you naturally become happier! Music therapy, sleep therapy and food therapy help me feel better sometimes (:

these are all great besides the fact that my depression has kept me from making and keeping friends so i don't have anyone to turn too. my parents or family are out of the question... they don't 'believe' depression is real...
