**WALK! **

Park your car a few blocks apart from the place you are going to and take to brisk walk to your office, grocery store, or a shopping mall. Intend to walk at least 30 minutes every day. At work, use some time during your lunch break to take a refreshing walk in a nearby park. If the weather is cold, you still can walk in your favourite mall.

Walk around the Office …

In the office, get out of your comfortable chair and go visit your colleagues from a different department instead of messaging or phoning them. If you need to go to a washroom, choose the one located on the top floor and WALK there.

3

Choose the Stairs …

Try to always take the stairs instead of an elevator. It will add a few hundreds of burn calories per day!

4

Forget about the Remote …

Burn some calories while watching TV, do not use remote control. Instead, every time you need to switch channels, get up and do that manually.

5

Chew …

At dinner, choose steak instead of pasta. The more you chew, the more calories you burn!

7

Eat More Often …

Eating frequent small meals, especially if they are not loaded with sugar or white flour, is more <a title="7 Ways To Boost Your Metabolism At Work …" href="https://allwomenstalk.com/7-ways-to-boost-your-metabolism-at-work/">stimulating for your metabolism than stuffing yourself with big meals two or three times a day.

8

Choose Spicy …

If your health allows it, of course. Choosing spicy dishes is another way to burn more calories during the day. And they will also make you drink more water, which is great for your weight loss and general health!

9

Keep Moving at All Times …

Adopt a habit of moving your feet, stretching your legs, or squeezing a rubber ball while sitting. Can you believe that such simple movements can burn up to 500 calories a day?

10

Keep the Temperature Low …

In the winter, turn down the heat in your room, especially at night, and sleep under a lighter blanket. In the summer, turn on an air conditioning. A colder environment makes your body produce more heat and, therefore, facilitates the utilization of calories.

PlZ I really need to lose weight

Hii... I'm trying to lose weight. I know I'm not 'fat'; I'm a female, 142lb, 5ft. 7 and aged 20 - my BMI's roughly 22.5 so I'm actually a healthy weight and I'm not at all trying to become really skinny or anything. However, since I started university over a year and a half ago I've put on weight. Before I started uni I was 127lb and I was pretty happy at that weight. I put on the excess 15lb last year in the first 8 months of being there, although once I realised how much weight I'd put on I did make the effort not to put on any more, which is why I haven't actually put on any weight since about May last year. BUT I CAN'T LOSE IT. I've managed to stop myself putting on any more weight. I owe that to the fact that I now weigh myself pretty regularly so I know if I'm gaining any weight or not. But no matter what I do, I just can't lose it. This week I've been to the gym 6 days in a row, burnt over 1000 calories each time (not including the mile and a half walk to and from and the fact that I work in a busy restaurant and I'm always running around), and not burnt anything. Infact, I think I gained half a pound! I haven't changed my eating habits this week because I can't afford to (£5 to live on this week doesn't buy you a lot more than bread and milk) but surely without changing my eating habits - and I definitely don't eat more than 2000 calories a day - I should have at least lost a little bit of weight?! I go to the gym a lot generally but this week I've been able to go more since we've had half term and I didn't have lectures. I know the issue is the food I eat. I'm not looking for a quick fix... I want to lose the extra 15lb before the middle of may which is 2 and a half months away, that's essentially about 13 weeks so I'm not looking to lose more than about 1lb or so per week. But I'm a student and don't have a lot of money to buy good foods. I work in a restaurant and get a free meal at the end of my shift but it's a buffet which sells around-the-world cuisine... as you can imagine stif-frys, curries, fatty pasta sauces don't help. If I don't eat at work then I don't eat because I can't afford it really. I also get really hungry so have to eat something stodgy to fill the void otherwise I feel faint and my stomach grumbles which I rather embarrassing. 1lb per week surely can't be too hard to lose in reality, right?! Please help me... :D

Hi Amanda, I came across your website as I was searching for appropriate excercise programs for weight loss. I am 19 years of age, and I weigh 120kg (I am Australian, so not sure what the U.S conversion is here to pounds, sorry!). Anyway, my aim is to lose atleast 20 kilos by the end of November, which is about 7 weeks away. Your advice on what I should eat and what excercise I could do would be GREATLY appreciated and I'm sure, highly beneficial. Regards, Elle
