10. Horse Riding

Calories Burnt: 200-600 cal/hr

This one may be slightly harder to arrange, but going horse riding once a week is one of the best ways to stay fit, healthy and enjoy nature. The view from up there is so amazing, you won’t notice that you’re toning your butt, abs and thighs, and burning calories while you’re at it! You’d be surprised at how cheap it can be to arrange a session once a weekend, and if your feeling extra fit you could even cycle to the stables! Check out these 7 Riding Tips for more information…

Read Eat to Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. It’ll help you see what you’re missing nutritionally and you’ll shed the pounds and get healthy quickly and safely without having to eat tiny portions. His plan ... See more will work with limited exercise, though I still think swimming or an eliptical/bike would be great. I don’t recommend ankle weights – they’ve been linked to joint problems in the knees. Try lifting weights also. It’ll help you build muscle without being too strenuous and the muscle will burn more calories. I really believe Eat to Live should be required reading in schools. Young people (and older people, too) are misinformed from day 1 regarding what it means to eat a healthy diet. It’s not hard reading and my uncle lost 60 lbs on it in the first 3-4 months (and beat his cancer!). It’s cheap, too. You can get it used off Amazon.
