Hey Anne,
Thanks for stopping by and sharing those tips. Milk...especially warm milk has always helped me! A shower helps too. It's relaxing and usually knocks me right out!

I find that working two different shifts has really played havoc with my sleep patterns. I usually have some cereal before bed, as one week my body is used to me fueling it throughout the night when I am working, and the next week, it expects something throught the night when I am working day shift....so yeah, the milk helps, also a perfectly dark room, and sometimes a fan going, or some other kind of white noise, to block out the traffic, or the neighbout cutting his grass, the kids' tv, etc. Good Luck>>>>> I have tried mild sedatives and they do knock me out for a good sleep, but I usually wake up with a wicked headache as a side effect..not really how you want to spend the next 8 hours.....

Great tips!

Don't forget magnesium before bedtime.

I keep a note pad and pen beside my bed to jot down any ideas that keep my mind racing before I fall asleep.
